Childrens Ministries
Children are a gift from God. Caring for them
in a loving nurturing environment is important at OECC. We want
to support parents in the critical and demanding task of raising
kids in a challenging time.
The church encourages families by providing quality
care, educational classes and ministry opportunities for kids. We
do so believing God is carefully crafting a young follower of Christ,
growing in faith, character and witness.
Nursery:
A well-equipped nursery and toddler room are located just steps
from our Worship Center and Adult Classrooms. Available during both
the worship and educational hours, these facilities are staffed
by loving adults. Our Nursery Coordinator is also a credentialed
Staff Nurse at a local public school.
Children’s
Sunday School:
Children’s Sunday School occurs simultaneous to classes for
youth and adults. Preschool and grade school aged kids gather for
music, story-telling, activities and interactive learning that is
distinctly Bible based.
Children’s
Church:
Children are led from the Worship Center just prior to the sermon
to enjoy a specialized setting where puppets, music and a teaching
theme compliment the experience of the whole body gathered in worship.
The kids are reunited with parents as the service closes with singing
and prayer.
 Summer
Children’s Program:
Renowned for its fun and creative learning environment. This week-long
fast paced ministry attracts many children from our community. Laced
with color, craft, upbeat music, energetic staff, outdoor gatherings
and Bible learning, this ministry is one not to miss!
Summer
Camping:
Our church participates in the Summer Camping Program of the Covenant
Church’s Midwest Conference. Children in grade school are
offered a professionally staffed full-service camping experience
at Covenant Cedars, a year-around facility located in South-central
Nebraska.
